Terms of service
The ground rules, without the legalese where we can help it. Last updated August 2026.
Rates and billing
Labor is $160/hour: one-hour minimum on-site, 30-minute minimum ($80) for remote sessions. On-site time starts at dispatch, one direction only. That's how travel is covered instead of a trip fee. Work outside Monday–Friday 8am–5pm bills at double the standard rate ($320/hour). Parts and hardware are quoted and approved before purchase. Rates effective January 1, 2026.
OneStop membership
12-month term, billed monthly or yearly; paying yearly saves 5%. Renews automatically each year. We start sending renewal reminders 60 days ahead, and ask for 30 days' written notice to cancel before renewal. A computer means a Windows PC or a Mac. Phones and tablets are not counted, and are not covered by monitoring. Membership covers remote and phone support and the protection features of your level; it does not cover parts, hardware, on-site labor (discounted per your level), or after-hours emergency work.
Warranty
On the work itself, there is no warranty. We demonstrate the fix with you before we leave. That walkthrough at the end of the visit is the moment you confirm the problem is actually solved, rather than taking our word for it and finding out later. Past that point we can't warrant field labor, because computers pick up new trouble on their own: a new click, a new update, a part that was already on its way out. The one exception is a problem we directly caused. That is rare, but when it happens we put it right at our own cost, and we will always tell you honestly which of the two you're looking at.
On equipment we sell, we back the manufacturer's warranty. If something we sold you fails inside its warranty period, our labor is covered (diagnosing it, removing it, installing the replacement and setting it back up), and we handle the claim with the manufacturer on your behalf instead of handing you a support number. Charges the manufacturer bills directly are yours: return shipping is the usual one.
Your data, your risk decisions
We treat everything on your machines as private and touch only what the job requires. Before risky repairs we recommend (and can perform) a backup; declining one is your call, and data loss during a repair you asked us to attempt without a backup is on the house's odds, not our negligence.
The boring but necessary part
TekStop LLC's liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service giving rise to it. These terms are governed by Arizona law. If any part is unenforceable, the rest stands. Questions? Call (928) 583-4454. Asking a person still beats reading terms.
